Merry Christmas to you too! Here we are and it's Christmas Day and we're blogging! Well it's a lot of fun and we're passionate about it, so that's great!

Anyway, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on this. I completely agree with you in that there are so many self-proclaimed experts out there who will hide their secrets behind swish sales pages with hefty purchase prices! It can be frustrating, especially if they don't offer any sort of free information whatsoever to try and develop rapport and build trust with you.

I'm an information publisher myself and sure, there are loads of people out there who have been in the business a lot longer than me - and know a lot more than I do about the topic. Still though, I always go to the effort of sharing what I know and learn because I WANT my readers, clients and prospects to get something good and useful out of it.

It all boils down to giving, as you say. But ultimately, it's about ourselves putting ourselves into the shoes of the prospect and asking, "What do I WANT?"

The secret to success in business is having a real and genuine desire to HELP people. Desperate measures to make money only turn people off. When we put ourselves out there and help our prospects, that's when we really win hearts and develop trust...and ultimately, loyal customers!

Merry Christmas everybody!
