Hi! I am from Zamboanga del Norte. I am an avid reader of your articles for more than a month now. And im very thankful for the ideas you’ve shared. Every detail turns my mind on, that i have to start my online business not later but now.

Online jobs, online business was introduced to me by a friend last 2006. But until last year i havent decide on where to go and what to do. Yes, i really want to be one of the successful filipino internet marketers. Of cours, ill be my own boss, no traffic, no much hassle, only self discipline is most required. Coz although i have alll the chances, but if dont have enough discipline in myself, still i wont succeed.

Two years of exploring, but nothing happened. Im afraid of scams. But i never stopped. I am presently working in a company where people around are educated but not professional. They dont even know how to handle people. My boss calls me late at night, mostly 11pm-1am, for work-related purposes. Of course, at first, i got shocked, ive worked with different mutinational companies but the culture is different. YEs, i always have the choice to resign and look for another job, i received countless job offerings. But i said to myself that if ill resign, i have to make sure that i wont work for anyone else anymore, but i have to work for myself!

This doesnt stop me from exploring on the internet. I dont own a computer but i believe it wont be a hindrance in achieving my goal. I just go to the internet cafe. Until december last year, i found your website. Im presently subscribing to your RSS FEED. You helped me a lot.

My goal for this month is to have a debit card for my paypal account verification. Im planning to have a website, and i want to work with amazon for online selling. I still dont have enough ideas about legitimate online business. I do hope you can share me your ideas.

    Thank you.

Mercy: I’m glad that you are learning from our articles and that you are working on your first online business. I suggest you read this article too: http://www.pinoyinternetbusiness.com/265/internet-marketing-is-this-for-you/ – that would help you decide on what market you should pursue.

For legit online business, there are many and one of it is joining the Amazon’s affiliate program – they call it Amazon Associate Program. For example, I review a book and tell people to buy it at Amazon. Since I’m an Amazon associate, I can get an affiliate link from them such as below.

Here’s the link to buy the book.
Selling Information: How You Can Create, Market and Sell Knowledge in Any Field

Once people click on the link above then buy the book from Amazon then I get a commission. This is a good start for an online business especially if you don’t have a product on your own yet. Just remember that to be successful in referring other people’s program you need to give them content such as doing reviews.

Again, it takes time to build an online business. Do not get easily discouraged. I’m sure with hard work and patience you’ll be successful on your online endeavors!

I HIGHLY recommend the book/link above though ๐Ÿ™‚

Very nice article Stanley. Found your blog by Googling ‘filipino internet marketers’. I think I’m going to stick around for a while. I’ve been looking for other serious pinoy marketers that I can follow.

Raymond, thanks for sticking around. I barely updated this blog for the past 6 months but I’ll try to keep up this year!

Still exploring affiliate marketing. I’m earning money from my blogs, those ads and sponsored posts. Need to know more about affiliate marketing. ๐Ÿ™‚

@Liz: Basically, affiliate marketing is promoting other peopleโ€™s products and services and getting a commission on every referred sale. You can start with http://www.Clickbank.com to find products to promote. However, be careful. First, read my other post at http://www.pinoyinternetbusiness.com/354/7-warnings-for-novice-internet-marketers/

"Some of the links here may be affiliate links. In cases like that I get paid an affiliate commission. I will never lie to you about things like that, but YOUR price if you decide to buy will not be affected. I am also VERY careful not to make ANY exaggerated income claims. Some people make money using my materials but the vast majority do NOT. This saddens me, but it's the truth. I only hope that YOU will be one of the few who makes money.
